Show Notes
The Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur, Xenia Muntean started building her own digital marketing agency while still in school.
After working with many clients, she realized there had to be an easier way to collaborate with clients to where she wasn’t wasting all of her time creating mock-ups, fumbling through email communications, and planning their social media content. This birthed the idea for her company, Planable.
In this episode, we dive into Xenia’s story about how she was able to put her perfectionism aside to create Planable, AND how you can start using social media with a purpose that will help you grow your business.
Key Points Discussed in This Episode
There are some very high-level business and entrepreneurship gems in this episode, but today’s main focus is on the social media aspect and how we can prevent ourselves from just aimless posting and time wasted.
Biggest Takeaways from the Episode:
- How to validate your business (and how to not let perfectionism get in the way)
- Creating a social media strategy that can actually help grow your business
- Biggest mistake most social media marketers make when trying to tackle social media
If you’re like me, you probably signed up for all the social media accounts, started posting everywhere, only to find out that you can’t gain any traction on any of them.
It’s likely because you are 1) spreading yourself too thin (trying to be everywhere) and/or 2) not thinking about social media with a strategy or goal in mind. And no, “gaining more followers” or “blowing up my business” don’t really count as goals.
Once you start strategizing and thinking carefully about WHY and WHAT you’re posting, social media gets a lot easier.
